Anastasi

Anastasi is a traditional weapon/tool used by the prehistoric settlers in the Maltese Islands. Fragments of anastasi weapons were discovered at the Ghar Dalam cave. The shape of an anastasi had many phallic resemblances, even though theories about its use and utility are scarce. It is said however that anastasis were used in the hunt for small game which abounded on the island at the time. Made out of flint stone, anastasis were given a very smooth polish, possibly to give an aerodynamic shape to the implement.
