Anarchist Federation (Us)
The
Anarchist Federation
was a broad organization of
anarchists
and
syndicalists
, founded in
1960
in the
United States
. The group became widely known during the
Vietnam War
protests for its prominent members, including
Murray Bookchin
,
Walter Coughey
and
Noam Chomsky
. It also founded a militant youth section, the
Resurgence Youth Movement
. The Federation fell apart in the early
1970s
with splits over whether it should engage in
violent
or only
non-violent resistance
.
