American University In BulgariaThe American University in Bulgaria (abbr. AUBG) is a private, selective, residential liberal arts college located in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Established in 1991, it currently (as of 2004) has about 800 students from 26 countries in Eastern Europe and beyond. In addition to its undergraduate program, the university has started an Executive MBA program in 2003. The university employs about 70 faculty members, the majority of which are expatriate Americans. = Student Life in Blagoevgrad = AUBG students enjoy the advantages of Blagoevgrad as a small town of roughly 50,000 people. There is no need for public transport, although the taxi is extremely cheap. The town is full of students, and there is a number of things available to them.
