Ameersing Luximon

Ameersing Luximon (Shyam) was born in Mauritius in 1970. In 1993, he obtained a First Class (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Mauritius. He was recipient of the Hong Kong Commonwealth Scholarship for 1994-1996. He completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1996 and 2001 respectively. He has worked as Assistant Professor at the American University of Armenia (2001-2002) and PostDoctoral Research Fellow in the Jockey Club Rehabilitation Engineering Center of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2002-2004). Currently he is working as an Assistant General Manager in a Hong Kong based company. He is specialized in foot and footwear research and development, ergonomics, and software development.
