Ambulatory Surgery Center

An ambulatory surgery center or "ASC" is a health care facility that specializes in providing surgery services in an outpatient setting. In the United States, over six million surgeries a year are performed in approximately 3,300 ASC's across the United States. There are ASC's in all 50 States and throughout the world. The web site for the Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association or "FASA" at http://www.fasa.org contains information about the ASC industry.
