Alternators

Alternators (BINALTECH バイナルテック in Japan) is a toyline of the Transformers series produced by Hasbro in North America and TAKARA in Japan, the primary selling point of which is the use of 1:24 scale, accurate real-world vehicle modes officially licensed from car manufacturers. Typically for each vehicle there are two toys to go with it to match the base model and the sport model.

Background Story

This story is from the booklet of BINALTECH. There has been no story for ALTERNATORS on any Hasbro material, though the Mazda website cited the BINALTECH storyline. In the year 2003, the Autobots of the Earth garrison were destroyed by the Cosmic Rust set upon them by the evil Decepticons. To solve the crisis, The Earth Defense Command started the project of "human-developed Transformers", with car companies creating new bodies for the damaged Autobots.
