Alliance Of TwelveThe Alliance of Twelve is a fictional terrorist organization in the television series Alias. It is an organization involved in the trade of intelligence and weapons. The organization was founded by Alain Christophe and is divided into 12 sections, named SD-1 through SD-12. "SD" stands for Section Disparue—literally, disappeared section or hidden section. The first two seasons of Alias focus mainly on events within the SD-6 section, headed by Arvin Sloane and based in Los Angeles. The Alliance, being an utterly ruthless organization, required Arvin Sloane to kill his wife, Emily, in order to prove his loyalty. Sydney Bristow, an SD-6 agent who alse worked as a double agent for the CIA, was the key player in the takedown of SD-6 and, ultimately, the Alliance of Twelve.
