Alliance Airlines

Alliance Airlines is an airline heavily involved in the charter and leasing of aircraft in Australia and in aircraft maintenance, but also provides some scheduled services. It was originally established in 1987 under the name of Flight West. In 2000 Flight West was liquidated and in 2002 Queensland Airlines Holdings bought Flight West and re-named it Alliance Airlines. Alliance Airlines headquarters are at Brisbane International Airport and it uses only Fokker F100 aircraft. Alliance has wet leasing contracts with Norfolk Jet Express and Air Niugini. Charter flights are operated from Brisbane to Canberra and the Australian Defence Forces use Alliance for charter flights to East Timor and the Solomon Islands.
