All Together Now (The Farm)

This article is about the song "All Together Now" by The Farm. For the song by The Beatles, see All Together Now (The Beatles)
All Together Now is a song by Liverpudlian pop band The Farm from their album Spartacus, and is said to link many of the band's favourite themes, Socialism, brotherhood and football. It took it's lyrical/subject inspiration from the Christmas Day Truce in World War I and was heavily musically influenced Johann Pachelbel's Canon and it's descending chord sequence. The song was re-made to accompany the English National Football Team to the Euro 2004 tournament. The song was produced by Graham McPherson, better known as Suggs, a founder member of the band Madness, and recorded at Mayfair Studios. It was originally released on November 26th 1990, and its album cover showed a subbuteo figure wearing an army uniform and brandishing a rifle. The song was re-released for two football causes, Everton's appearance in the 1995 FA Cup Final (odd considering the group are made up of fans of Liverpool, Evertons bitter rivals), and the campaign of the England team at Euro 2004.
