Alice Hoffman

Alice Hoffman, born March 16 1952 in New York City, is an American author, best known for her novel Practical Magic. She was educated at Adelphi University, and at Stanford University. Her first job was at the Doubleday factory, which later published two of her novels. Most of her works contain elements of magic, irony, and non-standard romances and relationships.
