Alexander WendtAlexander Wendt is noted as one of the core constructivist writers. Is most recognized for his journal article "Anarchy is what states make of it", which argued against the realist perception that anarchy drives competition in the international system. Wendt argues that a cooperation is just as likely a by-product of international anarchy. Major Areas of Interest: - International Relations Theory; - Philosophy of Social Science; - International Organization. Alexander Wendt taught at Yale University from 1989 to 1997, and at Dartmouth College from 1997 to 1999. He is the author of a number of articles on international relations theory, and a book, Social Theory of International Politics (Cambridge University Press, 1999).
