• Highest Alemannic (e.g. Walser German in the Canton of Wallis or dialects of the Bernese Highlands (Berner Oberland) and of Fribourg).
• Low Alemannic dialects, among which are also:
• Alsatian (in Alsace, France)
• Alemn Coloneiro (in Venezuela)
• Swabian (mostly in Schwaben, in Germany)

• SIL: GSW (Swiss variety)
• ISO 639-2: gem (for "Germanic (Other)")
