Alcohol And Tobacco Tax And Trade BureauThe Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, shortened to Tax and Trade Bureau or TTB, is a part of the United States Department of the Treasury. It was established in January 2003, as part of a reorganization following the establishment of the United States Department of Homeland Security. The functions of the TTB used to be part of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. The TTB is organized into five divisions: - Advertising, Labeling, and Formulation Division, which is responsible for statutory and compliance provisions for the formulation and labeling of alcoholic beverages, as required by the Internal Revenue Code and the Federal Alcohol Administration (FAA) Act;
- International Trade Division, which encourage industry compliance with international trade regulations;
- National Revenue Center, which processes paperwork and collects revenue for the TTB;
- Regulations and Procedures Division, which drafts and revises TTB regulations;
- Laboratory, which provide scientific and technical services for the bureau and the industries it regulates.
