Alberta (Provisional District)

Alberta (Provisional District) was the name of a federal electoral district in the Northwest Territories, Canada.

History

The Alberta Provisional District was created in 1886 when the Northwest Territories entered confederation. It had the same boundaries of the District of Alberta, a subdivision of the the Northwest Territories. In 1905, Alberta became a province of Canada and in 1907 the district was dissolved into Macleod and Medicine Hat.
