Albany International Airport (IATA Airport Code: ALB) is a regional facility in Albany, New York, in upstate New York. Albany International Airport can accept a variety of airliners and has 50 airbridges. Although the airport is significant and well-equipped, it is essentially a regional airport. Its distinction as an international airport is due to the fact that it offers regular service to Canadian destinations (which it actually did not even offer until several years after "international" had been added to its name), and because the International Civil Aviation Organization awarded it this status.
