Alan Shorter

Alan Shorter is a free jazz trumpet and flugelhorn player, described by one critic as "a marginal but colorful jazz personality." http://www.inkblotmagazine.com/rev-archive/Alan_Shorter_Orgasm.htm He is the brother of composer saxophone player Wayne Shorter. Shorter's trumpet technique was rather limited, when compared to his contemporaries. He recorded two albums as a leader, and also recorded with Archie Shepp.
