Alan Campbell (Politician)

Alan Campbell (born July 8, 1957) is a politician in the United Kingdom, and Labour member of Parliament for Tynemouth. He is a back-bencher, PPS to Adam Ingram MP and a member of the Seaside Group of Labour MPs. He won the seat in the 1997, displacing the Conservative, Martin Callanan, in a seat which had been held by a Conservative. Before he entered politics, he had been a secondary school teacher.
