Alachua Steam Navigation And Canal Company

Florida state law chapter 3483, approved February 27, 1883, incorporated the Alachua Steam Navigation and Canal Company, owned by Andrew Howard, J. T. McMillan, N. D. Phillips, F. L. Selden, B. F. Jordan, W. W. Hampton and J. H. McMahon, Construction was to begin within one year, with completion within seven years.
