Ahmet Vefik Pasa

Ahmet Vefik Paşa (Istanbul, 1823-1891) is a well known Turkish author and translator of the Tanzimat period. After his education in Istanbul and Paris, he was commissioned with top-rank governmental duties. He initiated first Western style theatre plays in Bursa and translated Molire's major works.
