Ahlam Mosteghanemi

Ahlam (or Ahlem) Mosteghanemi, the daughter of Algerian revolutionary leader Mohammed Chrif, is a notable Algerian writer. She is the first female Algerian writer to have her works translated into English; thus far, the first two of a trilogy have been translated. They are Memory in the Flesh and Chaos of the Senses.
