Aegean Airlines

Aegean Airlines is an airline based in Greece. Aegean Airlines was founded as Aegean Aviation (Αεροπλοϊα Αιγαίου Α.Ε.) in 1987. In 1992 it becomes the first privately owned airline to commence flights in Greece. After it was bought by Vasilakis Group in 1994, Aegean Aviation commences VIP flights from Athens all over the world with brand new wholly owned Learjet aircrafts. In 1999 Aegean Airlines (Αεροπορία Αιγαίου Α.Ε.) was founded and started its first commercial flights from Athens to Heraklion, Crete and Thessaloniki, Macedonia, with 2 wholly owned AVRO RJ/BAe 146 of BAE SYSTEMS Regional.
