Adriaen Brouwer

Adriaen Brouwer (1605 - 1638) was a Flemish painter. Born in Oudenaarde, Brouwer was a student of Frans Hals alongside Adriaen van Ostade. His works are typically detailed and small, often adopting themes of debauchery, drunkenness and foolishness. Brouwer himself spent much time in the alehouses of Flanders and Holland. Both Rubens and Rembrandt owned a number of his works. He died at the early age of 33 in Antwerp. Brouwer, Adriaen Brouwer, Adriaen Brouwer, Adriaen
