Adelaide International AirportAdelaide International Airport is a fairly large airport facility in West Beach, South Australia, Australia, serving the large city of Adelaide. The airport, though owned by the Commonwealth Government, is managed independently by Adelaide Airport Limited (AAL). Adelaide is the hub of small plane company Airlines Of South Australia, and from 2005 it will host the newly formed premium airline, OzJet, which aims to aims to be the airline of choice for the inter-city commutes of buisness persons. The airport operates primarily as a domestic airport, but also serving many international flights as well. The airport has the IATA Airport Code ADL. The Adelaide International Airport, at West Beach, is Adelaide's main airport. After a deal between the state and federal governments, as well as private enterprise, new dual international/domestic terminal is to replace the outdated and long-serving domestic terminal at the end of 2005. The old terminal had been a subject of ridicule, being one of the only capital-city airports at which there were no air-bridge's. However, with the opening of the new state-of-the-art facility, Adelaide will boast the newest and most efficient aviation terminal in Australia. It will be one of the few airports able to accommodate the enormous Airbus A380, although there are no plans for the airport to be served by the aircraft. Airlines that serve the Adelaide Airport:
