Actraiser 2

ActRaiser 2 is a Super Nintendo side-scrolling platform game released by Enix on November 1993. The beginning of the game begins with the world once again overrun with evil, stating that the final battle with the main villain Tanzra left the deity sealed within his temple. Once again assuming the form of the ruling deity of the world, one must fight off all of the demons scouring the world. Ripped and torn, the slain body of Tanzra was returned to the underworld. Feeding on the intense hatred each held for The Master, 13 of Tanzra's most powerful demons joined together. Combining thier power, they raised the spirit of their mighty leader. Tanzra, now vowing revenge for his defeat by The Master, unleased these demons upon the world. Of note is the fact that Actraiser 2 appears to hold more religious references than its predecessor: Many of the bosses in an area are named after and represent one of the seven deadly sins. Also included within the game is the Tower of Babel, which is where the final battle takes place. One of the things that players of the original ActRaiser found was the complete lack of the city overview, which made up most of the original ActRaiser: ActRaiser 2 was solely a side-scrolling platform game, similar in nature to the original ActRaiser's "hard mode". You control the main character known as The Master, helped by his angel friend.
