Acclaim Wireless

The Acclaim Wireless was a primitive wireless controller for the Nintendo Entertainment System, produced in the 1980s. When working properly, the device used infrared signals to transmit data up to several feet away, allowing for wireless game play. A receiver plugged into the controller port and accepted signals transmitted from the handheld piece. The technology was found by users to be highly unreliable.
