Aboriginal Peoples Of Canada

The Aboriginal peoples of Canada is a collective term used in Canada to refer to the First Nations, the Inuit, and the Mtis. The term First Peoples is often used synonymously. Other terms include "native Canadians" and "aboriginal Canadians," while "Native Americans" is rarely utilized. Representative bodies of the First Peoples include the Assembly of First Nations for the First Nations, the Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami for the Inuit, and the Mtis National Council for the Mtis.
