Abinger Hammer

Abinger Hammer, being situated on the A25 between Dorking and Guildford in the UK, was once a very important centre of the iron industry. A main feature of the village is the wooden clock which overhangs the main road, and contains the figure of Jack the Blacksmith, who strikes the hour with his hammer and bell. There is still a forge in the village to this day.
