Aberdeen Harbour

Aberdeen Harbour (香港仔) is a harbour at the south side of Hong Kong Island, located in the Southern District of Hong Kong. As with all Aberdeens outside Scotland, it was named after the original Aberdeen by nostalgic Scots who colonised Hong Kong. It is famous to tourists for the boat people living in the harbour and the floating seafood restaurants. One of the best schools in Hong Kong, Canadian International School of Hong Kong, is also located here.

Transportation

Aberdeen is served by Pok Fu Lam Road, Aberdeen Tunnel and Nam Fung Road. Nam Fung Road connects Deep Water Bay Road, which also connects Wong Nai Chung Gap Road to Happy Valley. A bridge link the Aberdeen with Ap Lei Chau over the Aberdeen Harbour. The proposed MTR West Island Line and South Island Line will have stations in this area.
