Abd Ar-rahman Al-bazzaz

Abdul Rahman al-Bazzaz (1913 - 1973) was an Iraqi administrator, military officer and politician. He served as the Secretary-General of OPEC between 1 May 1964 and 30 April 1965. He then became foreign minister for a few months in 1965. Later in 1965 he became Prime Minister of Iraq. He acted as President of Iraq for three days (April 13-16, 1966) following President Abd as-Salam Arif's death. Arif's brother, Abd ar-Rahman Arif was then chosen as the permanent replacement. In August 1966, Bazzaz left the position of Prime Minister.
