A Terrible RevengeA Terrible Revenge: The Ethnic Cleansing of the East European Germans, 1944-1950 is a book by Alfred-Maurice de Zayas, describing massacres committed by the Soviet Army at the end of World War II. According to testimonies of German officers and civilians quoted in the book, women were stripped, raped and left dead in the street or nailed to barn doors crucifixion style, and children were murdered. More than 2 million German civilians died during the process, and 15 million were expulsed from their homes.
