Name origin "Zapdos" originates from the words "zap", because it is an electric-type, and "dos", Spanish for "two", because it is numerically the second Legendary Bird. Information Zapdos is an electric bird Pokmon. Zapdos is yellow and its whole body is zigzagged like lightning. Zapdos is Pokmon #145 and being a bird is both Electric type and Flying type. It is one of the three legendary bird Pokmon. This is the electric one of these birds. In Japanese, Zapdos is called Sandaa (Thunder). Zapdos is featured in Pokmon The Movie 2000 together with the other two legendary birds, Articuno and Moltres.
