Z Code

For the virtual machine language introduced by Infocom, see the article under Z-machine. Z Code (like Q Code and X Code) is a set of codes used in CW, TTY and RTTY communication. Developed after Q Code by Cable & Wireless Ltd. for commercial communications it was later used and modified by NATO forces, the United States Coast Guard and the USSR's military. Z Code is not widely used today.
