Yoshino, NaraYoshino (吉野町; -cho) is a town located in Yoshino District, Nara, Japan. As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 10,580 and a density of 110.61 persons per km². The total area is 95.65 km². It is famous for its 100 000 sakura trees on Mt. Yoshino. They are planted in three groves at different altitude so that they bloom at different times of the spring.
