Yarrow Point is a town located in King County, Washington. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,008.

History

Yarrow Point was officially incorporated on June 24, 1959.

Geography

  Point is located at 47°38'39" North, 122°13'0" West (47.644212, -122.216684). 
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²). 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 1,008 people, 379 households, and 308 families residing in the town. The population density is 1,051.9/km² (2,720.3/mi²). There are 393 housing units at an average density of 410.1/km² (1,060.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 93.65% White, 0.79% African American, 0.00% Native American, 3.17% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.69% from other races, and 1.69% from two or more races. 1.98% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 379 households out of which 34.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.4% are married couples living together, 1.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 18.5% are non-families. 15.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.66 and the average family size is 2.96. In the town the population is spread out with 25.9% under the age of 18, 3.7% from 18 to 24, 20.9% from 25 to 44, 30.9% from 45 to 64, and 18.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 45 years. For every 100 females there are 102.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 95.5 males. The median income for a household in the town is $117,940, and the median income for a family is $126,075. Males have a median income of $100,000 versus $52,500 for females. The per capita income for the town is $72,135. 3.4% of the population and 1.6% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 6.4% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
