tribe centred in
Wyandotte, Oklahoma
. The tribe's 3 500 or so registered members are an
Iroquoian
people, descendents of the
Hurons
(or
Wendat
) who formerly dominated southern
Ontario
. The band is a member of the Wendat Confederacy, which also includes bands of Huron/Wendats from
Quebec
,
Ontario
,
Michigan
, and
Kansas
.
