World Vision International

World Vision International is a Christian charity, founded in 1950 by Dr Robert Pierce to address poverty in the third world, particularly among children. It is currently headquartered in Federal Way, Washington. As of 2004, the charity receives over $1 billion per year, about half of which is generated through its distinctive child sponsorship programme.
