Whitianga

The town of Whitianga is sited on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula in the North Island of New Zealand. It is at the centre of the V-shaped Mercury Bay, next to an arm of the bay called the Whitianga Harbour. The third largest town on the peninsula (after Thames and Whangamata), it has a population of 3300.
