Wezen

Wezen (δ Canis Majoris) is the name of a star in the constellation Canis Major. It has an apparent magnitude of 1.84. The spectral class of Wezen is F8 and it has a surface temperature of 6200 Kelvins. It radiates 50,000 times that of the Sun and its radius is approximately 200 times larger than Sun's. The star is located at a distance of 1800 light years from the Solar System. The name comes from the Arabic وزن wazn, meaning a weight. Canis Majoris, Delta
