WermelandiaWermelandia, or Vrmland, is a historical province or landskap in the west of middle Sweden. It borders to Westrogothia, Dalia, Dalecarlia, Westmannia and Nericia. It is also bounded by Norway in the east. Population The population of Wermelandia is 312,966 as of 2004. It distrubutes over three counties as follows: County For current affairs see: Vrmland County Wermelandia has virtually the same boundaries as Vrmland County. The main exception is a smaller part to the south east which belongs to the rebro County. History Main article: History of Wermelandia Eastern Wermelandia traditionally belongs to the mining district of Bergslagen. Geography Main article: Geography of Wermelandia Wermelandia was historically divided into chartered cities and districts. One district formed part of Bergslagen and was a mountain district, and all the other districts were hundreds.
