Wellington Hurricanes

right The Wellington Hurricanes, officially known simply as the Hurricanes, are a New Zealand rugby union team based in Wellington, and representing the East Coast, Poverty Bay, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu, Wairarapa-Bush, Horowhenua-Kapiti and Wellington unions. They compete in the Super 12 competition, where their best result has been 3rd place in 1997 and 2003. Since 2003, the Hurricanes have been captained by Tana Umaga, who has recently also become the captain of New Zealand's national team, the All Blacks.
