weeds (television)

Weeds is a Showtime television series. The pilot episode was filmed in 2004 and stars Mary-Louise Parker as a suburban mother whose husband dies, and she finds herself dealing cannabis for money. Elizabeth Perkins is also a member of the cast, as an upstanding member of the community whose son falls in love with Parker's daughter. Justin Chatwin will also be in the show, playing Perkins's son. Kevin Nealon has also been cast. In December 2004, Showtime announced that they were ordering 10 episodes to air in 2005. Brian Dannelly is a producer, and directed the pilot.
