Wakisaka YasuharuWakisaka Yasuharu (脇坂 安治; 1554 – September 26, 1626) is a daimyo in Azuchi-Momoyama period and Edo period. His official rank was a jyugoi-no-ge (従五位下) and his government post was a nakatukasa-no-syo (中務少輔). First, Yasuharu served Akechi Mitsuhide. Before long, he was eager to hope for serving Hashiba Hideyoshi, who had made a conspicuous figure as a retainer of Oda Nobunaga, and served him in the result. In 1583 at the Battle of Shizugatake, Omi province, Hideyoshi gave Yasuharu 3,000 koku since he, Hukushima Masanori, Kato Kiyomasa and others distinguished themselves in the battle. Because of that, they are called "seven lancers". (Yasuharu was the oldest in seven lancers for your information.) After that, Yasuharu assumed a naval commander with Kato Yoshiakira and Kuki Yoshitaka. He was given 30,000 at Sumoto, Awaji Province since he was active in the expendition to Odawara and the Seven-Year War. In 1600, Yasuharu was going to take part in Tokugawa Ieyasu's force. However, He was compelled to take part in Ishida Mitsunari's force because Mitsunari raised his army when he stayed in Osaka. On October 21, Yasuharu took advantage of Kobayakawa Hideaki's betrayal and betrayed, too. He defeated Otani Yoshitsugu's force. After the battle, Ieyasu let Yasuharu govern his domain before the battle ongoingly. In succeeding years, Yasuharu given 53,000 koku at Ozu, Iyo Province. His son, Wakisaka Yasumoto, succeeded to a house after his dead.
