Whrb

WHRB is the student-run radio station of Harvard College. It was one of the first in the nation, founded in 1940. Originally broadcasting through the radiator pipes, it moved on to the AM band and eventually 95.3 FM. The tradition of Orgies, presentations of the entire works of composers, record labels, or genres, began in 1944. These Orgies run for days at a time during January and May, when other Harvard students are taking their exams. Prominent broadcasters who began their career there include Bruce Morton of CNN, Chris Wallace of Fox News, and Scott Horsley of NPR. Official website: www.whrb.org
