vrmland county

Vrmland County, or Vrmlands ln, is a County or ln in eastern middle Sweden. It borders to the counties of Dalarna, rebro and Vstra Gtaland. It is also bounded by the Norwegian counties of stfold, Akershus and Hedmark in the west.

For History, Geography and Culture see: Wermelandia Wermelandia has more or less the same boundaries as Vrmland County, except the municipalities of Karlskoga and Degerfors, which belong to rebro County.

Administration

Main article: Vrmland County Administrative Board Vrmland County was formed in 1779, when it was separated from Nrke and Vrmland County. The main aim of the County Administrative Board is to fulfil the goals set in national politics by the Parliament and the Government, to coordinate the interests of the county, to promote the development of the county, to establish regional goals and safeguard the due process of law in the handling of each case. The County Administrative Board is nominally a Government Agency headed by a Governor. See List of Vrmland Governors.

Heraldry

Main article: Heraldry of Wermelandia Vrmland County inherited its coat of arms from the province of Wermelandia. When it is shown with a royal crown it represents the County Administrative Board. Blazon: "Argent, an Eagle displayed Azure beaked, langued and membered Gules."
