Volksgerichtshof

Volksgerichtshof ("People's Court") is a court established by Hitler after the Reichstag fire to take away the treatment of treason and many other offenses from the more liberal Reichsgericht. The Volksgerichtshof became infamous for the enormous number of death sentences that it handed down while led by Roland Freisler.
