Vita Nuova is a provider of embedded systems and distributed applications based upon the unique new operating system Inferno. Inferno was originally developed at Bell Labs by the creators of UNIX and C. Inferno is a small, efficient operating system used in embedded systems and distributed applications. The name of the company and its products have been inspired by the literary heritage of Dante Alighieri, particularly the Divine Comedy and it means "New Life" in Italian.
