Verdon RiverVerdon is an approx. 200 km long river in south-eastern France. Its source is in the south-western Alps, near Barcelonnette. It flows south-west through the following dpartements and cities: The Verdon flows through several artificial lakes, before flowing into the river Durance south of Manosque. The Verdon is best known for its impressive canyon: the Verdon Gorge. This limestone canyon, with walls of several hundreds of meters high, is a popular climbing area.
