Vatsyayana

Vatsyayana is a scholar (Rishi) from medieval (pre Muslim) India. He is known for writing the book on sex and love in sanskrit called Kama Sutra. Vatsyayana reportedly spent a major chunk of his life with prostitutes to research his subject.
