Vagar Airport

Vagar Airport is the only airport in the Faroe Islands, a self-governing territory of Denmark consisting of a group of subarctic islands in the North Atlantic Ocean between Scotland and Iceland. It was built by British Royal Engineers during World War II. Due to the Faroe Islands' rather anomalous status, this airport is not fully subject to the rules of the European Union.
