United States Conference Of Catholic Bishops

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, also known as the USCCB, is the official governing body of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. Founded in 1966 as the National Conference of Catholic Bishops/United States Catholic Conference, it is comprised of the American hierarchy of bishops, archbishops and cardinal archbishops. The USCCB adopted its current name in July 2001. The organization is a registered corporation based in Washington, DC.
